Loss Control Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

 

? Acting as a safety consultant to our manufacturing plants worldwide. 

 

? Taking an active role in the company?s well-established Loss Control program, which includes enhancing corporate safety standards, auditing plants for conformance to standards, and assisting the plants with safety training and awareness activities. 

 

? Monitoring the activities of independent consultants, such as industrial hygienists, or others as need be.

 

? Assisting plants in responding to OSHA complaints, and negotiating reasonable solutions with OSHA.

 

? Assisting in evaluation of safety hazards at the plants, particularly machine guarding and safety procedures involving robotic machinery.

 

? Overseeing Loss Control activities at the Corporate Headquarters, such as fire/tornado drills, first aid/CPR training, accident investigation, etc.

 

? The job will require travel to 20 ? 25 plants each year, between Sept. and Dec. to do Loss Control audits.  One day is spent at each plant.  In addition, travel will be anticipated as it relates to specific projects ? i.e., to put on training programs, assist on specific issues, etc.  Total travel time could be as much as 50%.

 

 

A qualified candidate will possess the following:

 

? Bachelor?s degree with an emphasis on Occupational Health and Safety

? ASP or CSP designation would be a plus

? 5-10 years in a manufacturing setting is preferred
