Manager, Account Management

Manager of Account Development in the Greater Boston marketplace, is responsible for managing business growth and protection of large American Express merchant accounts. Must forge ongoing relationships with various functions within a customer's management team. Responsible for conducting Value Story presentations to a portfolio of 100 accounts, driven by the opportunity within the portfolio. Must aggressively penetrate highest opportunity accounts to identify core needs and sell-in appropriate business building solutions (e.g.product or marketing platforms, brand placement, other). Must be able to manage relationship complexities, overcome objections and capitalize on opportunities to grow American Express share of business and maintain or improve Customer Satisfaction. Develop Blue Box knowledge and cross divisional influence to inhance the value proposition delivered to managed accounts and improve Amex position within the marketplace.

Proven prior success in sales or client management function preferred. Ability to identify opportunities and persuasively influence internal and external constituencies to drive results. Must demonstrate the following skills: consultative selling, negotiation skills, time management, problem-solving, creative thinking and customer service skills. Demonstrated thought leadership and ability to influence others. Highly customer focused and results oriented. Should be self-starter with the ability to drive results and successfully handle multiple priorities against tight deadlines. Must have capability to move quickly in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Strong communication/presentation skills. BA/BS or equivalent.
