Manager, Consumer Insights

Job Description: Job Responsibilities: The Manager, Consumer Insights is responsible for providing breakthrough consumer insights and thought leadership. These insights will be used to drive future strategies, identify opportunities and mitigate risks.

Identify and develop effective, creative approaches to research, which result in genuine insights for the business. Analyze and synthesize learnings from research in a way that is not only actionable but is also impactful and accessible for stakeholders. Communicate research insights in a compelling, lively and informative manner. Help ensure that consumer needs, behavior and trends are effectively incorporated in Disneyland Resort business decisions.

Develop excellent partnerships across the business to increase the impact of market research including: (a) Work with key stakeholders and provide research input on key business questions, (b) Develop relationships within and outside the Disneyland Resort in order to share consumer input and learning.

Manage market research projects including: (a) Key contact with stakeholders on research initiatives, (b) Interface with research suppliers, and (c) Responsible for all research deliverables. Effectively coach, develop and educate Cast Members, and manage 1 direct report. Provide leadership on tracking studies including: (a) Analytical input, (b) Strategic input, and (c) Improving methodology, processes and action ability

Qualifications:

MBA/MA/MS/PhD in a business, quantitative or social science field strongly preferred.

Minimum five to seven years of market research experience including 2-3 years management experience, with 1-3 years market research supplier experience preferred. Experienced in marketing, pricing, and competitive analysis.

Substantial experience analyzing and synthesizing data and providing strategic input. Ability to direct and perform both simple and complex statistical analyses.

Strong communication skills across writing/speaking/presentations/ with experience in synthesizing disparate and sometimes contradictory learnings

Deep experience with a wide variety of research methodologies. Strong in both qualitative and quantitative approaches. Spanish language fluency a strong plus.
