General Description: Provide security related expertise and strategic direction to senior management and site management inclusive of creating and maintaining global security related policies and standards.

The incumbent will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing measurable, cost-effective programs to mitigate risk, maintain continuity of operations and safeguard the organizations domestic and international assets.

Providing direction to Alcon site security professionals in identifying, developing, implementing and maintaining security processes and practices.

Enterprise security solutions, researching and deploying state-of-the-art technology solutions and innovative security management techniques.

Directing the analysis of security related incidents and vulnerable internal controls and developing appropriate countermeasures consistent with sound business judgment.

Partnering with Human Resources, Legal and Safety on the Threat Management Team; and serving as key member of Alcon's Corporate Crisis Action Team.

In addition, the incumbent will be responsible for the oversight of Campus security staff, inclusive of contract personnel, and associated security direction.

Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree with eight or more years leadership experience in security and asset protection roles for multi-state, multi-facility organizations. Required skills include advanced personnel management skills, including staff development, effective delegation, goal setting, performance management and talent acquisition; advanced organizational skills, including project planning, performance tracking and management; advanced interpersonal and communication skills; strong technical writing and public speaking skills; understanding security related regulations; and knowledge of state-of-the-art physical security equipment and techniques.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with ten or more years leadership experience in security and asset protection roles for multi-state, multi-facility organizations; pharmaceutical, chemical and/or healthcare experience is a plus. Certified Protection Professional (CPP) from the American Society for Industrial Security.
