Marketing Analyst & Writer

Summary: 

Primarily responsible for assisting the Product Marketing Director by providing information and analyses on industry, product and competitor data.  A significant role will be as the principal technical writer for both manuals and Marketing collateral for both internal applications and external publication.

 

Job Expectations (Other duties may be assigned)

?  Complete a full update of all training collateral within 6 months

?  Complete writing all literature and operating manuals for new product release by the end of 2006.

?  Complete writing all literature and operating manuals for second new product release by the end of 2007.

?  Complete full integration of all acquisition information into the EMCO website within 90 days.

?  Organize and implement a Russian language mirror of the EMCO website with 12 months.

?  Organize and implement a Spanish language mirror of the EMCO website within 18 months.

?  Establish an international, national, and regional exhibition strategy and schedule within 6 months, updated annually.

 

Experience/Education Requirements:

?  Bachelor?s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Marketing, Tech Writing/IT, Science or related discipline and two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination or education and experience.

?  Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, or technical procedures.

?  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, technical documents and procedure manuals.

?  Knowledge of Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), Acrobat, Microsoft Office, Access, Flash, and familiarity with FTP servers is required. Knowledge of Dream weaver, Photoshop, Inventor and Solid Works would be an advantage.

?  Ability to make presentations.

?  Capability to work with mathematical concepts, such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of basic algebra.

?  Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

?  Research skills for analyzing industry trends and competitor information are essential.

?  Ability to operate personal computer and standard office equipment. 

?  Must be familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel software programs.
