The Master Scheduler for Gardner Bender in Glendale, WI is responsible for analyzing forecast information, developing and maintaining master schedules, developing master inventory plans, and evaluating capacity utilization to meet company customer service and financial objectives.

Qualified individuals will possess the following attributes:
Demonstrated success in leading various materials functions, including: Sourcing, PIC, Purchasing, Forecasting, or Logistics.
Demonstrated ability to lead direct reports and cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate scheduling of a high volume global supply chain.
Capability to efficiently coordinate outside processing of various products and/or processes.
Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
Must be able to perform the Master Scheduling Function.
Must have experience with LCC Supply Chain.
Must have experience with MRP II.
Must have experience utilizing ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
Must be able to work with, and train others in kanban pull systems.
Key responsibilities of this individual are:
Lead/direct kaizen activities resulting in improved manufacturing operations.
Improve mfg operations by training and directing the concepts and application of Lean Mfg.
Works closely with Customer Service, Sourcing, Production Scheduling; Product Marketing, Manufacturing, Distribution; and Engineering, to ensure that new products and special promotional merchandise is available to meet schedules.
Develop and maintain a master schedule for manufacturing and purchased components which supports the company's customer service objectives. Provide required reviews with production, planning and procurement personnel to insure proper execution of plan.
Assist in management of Slow Moving and obsolete analysis and disposition. Must balance demand from retail base, outlets, e-commerce, and other channels.
Analyze company safety stock and supplier safety stock programs to maximize service with appropriate inventory investment.
Monitor supplier performance for delivery and quality (weekly).
Maintain necessary data bases for Open-to-buy, Excess & Obsolete, Past-due P.O.'s, Distribution Requirements Planning, Safety Stocks, $Short service, mixed-model purchasing, Inventory Rolls, and contributions to the Sales and Operations Planning process.
With Information Technology personnel, develop and implement systems based solutions for assigned areas.
Execute responsibilities as part of forecasting process including trend analysis and translation to master schedule. Be active participant in improving process to raise forecast accuracy and balance supply and demand.
