Measurement Technician

Job Duties:Installation, maintenance and calibration of turbine, coriolis, orifice meters and flow computersInstallation, maintenance and calibration of measurement transmittersInstallation, maintenance and calibration of densitometersMonitor and analyze measurement and analytical data and react accordinglyMonitor and recognize dangerous and/or emergency conditions within the process and perform procedures necessary to remove the condition or shutdown the process/facility in order to protect personnel, community, environment and equipment.  Work with coworkers in the response to emergency situations requiring coordination, equipment or plant shutdown, and/or evacuation.  Write repair work requests for routine and major maintenance that cannot be handled as part of normal operations using a computerized maintenance management system (MAXIMO).Recognize malfunctions in individual equipment and perform maintenance as necessary to correct problems.  Operate and perform activities in accordance with applicable regulations and procedures. 

Minimum Essential Qualifications:High school diploma or GED. 3 years plus years liquid petroleum measurement experience (or related experience) Valid driver license.  Able to work in a self-directed work team.  Able to lift, push, and pull 75 pounds.  Able to work in close quarters, work while kneeling, squatting, sitting, climbing, and standing. Working knowledge of SCADA systemsInterpersonal communication skills as required in order to interface with customersProficient in the deployment, use, and troubleshooting of PCs and  serversBasic understanding of WANs and LANsAbility to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and able to respond to call outs

Preferred Qualifications:

  ? Experience working in a team environment, self starter, and ability to work with peers in collaborative efforts.

  ? Familiarity with Wonderware and Excel
