Memory Test Lab Tech

IBM's Systems & Technology Group (STG) develops and implements a full range of technologies that power many of the world's information systems, including semiconductors, storage devices, and networking components. We are currently seeking an experienced Lab Technician working in memory array characterization. This team performs design verification, margin assessment, problem resolution and introduction into manufacturing of leading edge memory chips and macros. You will use the latest in test and measurement equipment. Lab tech Responsibilities: Plans and designs setup of tests, writes reports, analyzes difficulties and recommends solutions. Uses computer to reduce data and observations. Understands the function, operating principles, and adjustment of test equipment utilized. Recognizes proper and improper operation of equipment and takes corrective action. Anticipates approximate results from most activities in order to recognize and correct any errors. Prepares technical reports and keeps technical records on assigned projects. Experienced in the field of Semi-conductor testing is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate. Some experience writing software (C, C++) is helpful. A solid background in electrical principles is required.
