Roma New Jersey is currently in search of a Foodservice Merchandising Manager to develop strategies for the purchase of products from manufacturers. This position is responsible for and manages all purchasing functions to include minimizing the cost of goods from product manufacturers through strong negotiations on price, cash discount terms, and earned income programs. This individual will re-negotiate annual rebate programs and contracts, evaluate potential new line items, and ensure that out-of-stocks are kept to a minimum. Related replenishment management functions may be included.

Qualified candidates will have 5+ years previous purchasing experience, preferably with a food distributor. Minimum 2 years prior supervisory experience preferred. Strong mathematical and analytical skills as well as effective written and verbal communication skills. E3 purchasing system experience a plus.
