Description

POSITION DUTIES:

? Responsible for the strategic sourcing & negotiating of IT
hardware /software /licenses /maintenance & related IT programs &
services.
? Develop & implement global category strategies for commodity.
? Responsible for the internal & external business relationship relative to
the commodity providing professional services & management for
requirements and initiatives.
? Promote & implement the Source to Pay process throughout the business
units.
? Proficient with all aspects of the Procurement Process
? Review, recommend and implement streamline processes for global
category responsibilities.
? Development of global category goals and objectives as well as individual
development needs
? Review & develop procedures applicable to global category assignments.
? Lead review & negotiation of requirements & contracts with potential
suppliers collaboratively with the business units & legal department.
? Benchmark & analyze global category marketplace and trends for best in
class strategic sourcing.
? Develop & implement Service Level Agreements for IT Procurement
assignments
? Review & forecast global category spend and savings/avoidance
? Maintain category procurement compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and
Symbol procurement guidelines.
? Monitor, maintain & document metrics & score cards for key suppliers &
categories.


POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

? BS/BA required, Masters preferred, in IT, Engineering or Procurement
? Ten (10) years of experience in Procurement/IT lead positions
? Strong strategic sourcing, negotiations and analytical skills
? High level experience in IT services, lease/buy computer/servers &
peripheral equipment, licenses, software maintenance.
? High level experience with IT requirements and external supplier base
? Excellent communication skills
? Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Suite applications
? Knowledge & analysis of various research tools relative to information
access to best in class suppliers, market trends, benchmarking sources.
? E-Procurement and Contract Management knowledge a plus.
? Finance & cost analysis background a strong plus.
