Operations Manager

The Operations Manager will oversee the production change control process, procedure/policy review and outage review. The change management functionality for the position will be responsible for network changes, such as additions or deletions to adhere to the Change Control process. In addition to the change management function, the candidate will oversee the review of all outage reports, effectiveness of procedures and tickets in general.

Responsibilities for the group include but are not limited to:
Change Management:
- Responsible for defining, developing, and implementing change management policies, procedures
and tools
- Oversee the coordination of planned/emergency maintenance. Facilitate change control meetings
- Evaluate impact, cost and risk of proposed changes
- Responsible for providing status of change management events to stakeholders
- Mentor technical resources to follow established Configuration Management best practices
- Create metrics to measure performance and effectiveness of change management policies and procedures

Procedure/Outage Review
- Ensure policies and procedures are developed, reviewed, approved and distributed to appropriate
personnel
- Organize official Reason For Outage (RFO) reports for all major outages
- Follow up on all action items related to RFO reports
- Review select tickets and procedures that have been executed and make recommendations for
improvement

VoIP experience a nice to have
Minimum of 3-5 years management experience in an operation environment
Experience in developing change management policies and procedures
Familiarity with procedures within a Network Operations Center
Building, leading and mentoring teams
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with all levels within the organization
Work non-standard hours as required
Must be comfortable working in a high stress, fast paced environment with rapidly shifting priorities
Creative problem solving abilities
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to use data and logic to successfully defend a professional viewpoint
