Operations Technician

Job Duties:Responsible for operating LPG fractionation and treating processes including utility systemsGather and analyze operating conditions to assure optimum plant performancePrepares and analyzes recurring operating reportsWorks closely with the other support teams (maintenance, measurement, instrumentation and electrical, etc.) to resolve operational upset and maintain facility integrityComply with all applicable safety and environmental regulations and local policy and proceduresPromptly respond to emergency situations in accordance with facility emergency response plan, including potentially responding to pipeline emergencies under the direction of a DOT Operations Qualified (OQ) employee.Prepares various ad-hoc  reports including providing data for regulatory reporting

Minimum Essential Qualifications:High school diploma or GEDAble to work in a self-directed work teamAbility to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and able to respond to call outsMust have strong interpersonal skills in order to interact with internal and external customersMust pay close attention to detail to provide accurate information in a timely mannerMust remain focused when facing distractions and quickly analyze data to take the appropriate actionsMust commit and follow through on work to assure tasks are completedMust be able to interface with personal computers, interact with business applications, and have a working knowledge of common office programs (MS Word, Outlook, Access, MS Excel) Must be able to prioritize work and handle multiple tasks while still meeting deadlines Must be able to adapt and learn new technology and work processesMinimum of 3 years experience as an operator of LPG  or refinery processes,  including but not limited to fractionation, treating, and utility systemsMust be able to lift fifty pounds, climb ladders

Preferred Qualifications:Self starter, and ability to work with peers in collaborative environmentSome experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (a plus)Some experience using  DCS or similar electronic control systems
