THE POSITION

PROCESS DEVELOPMENT LABORATORY MANAGER - Industrial Identification & Traceability Equipment

Note: The Company is located in Central Ohio. Relocation Provided.

This Position, which reports to the Vice President of Sales, administers the Process Development Laboratory including the receipt, logging, scheduling and follow-up of projects for external and internal customers. It also provides ongoing technical support and direction to the sales, engineering, production and field service organizations.

In addition, the Position:
Ensures the quality of the laboratory work.
Oversees the selection of equipment.
Reviews laboratory reports for clarity and comprehensiveness.
Develops sales by providing results and reports consistent with customer requirements.
Supports product development with new equipment trials prior to field release.
Manages regular upgrade, maintenance, and calibration of equipment.
Ensures a safe laboratory environment, complying with OSHA, LSO, etc.
Supervises and trains all process laboratory technicians.
Calls on key customers in connection with equipment sales and process developments.
Supports trade shows particularly with regard to new market initiatives.

The Successful Candidate will have 5+ years Process Laboratory experience with documented expertise in optical and mechanical operations and in-depth knowledge of lasers and laser applications. Industrial identification, traceability and marking applications background will be a Plus. Supervisory / management experience is highly desirable.

BS Physics, Laser Engineering, Materials Science or related field is required.
