Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
Job Purpose: As a Technician, you will be responsible for operation of equipment used in the production of television broadcast.

*Operates equipment used for television production and on air station operations and newscasts
including video switcher, video tape machines, file servers, audio mixers, audio recording machines, character generator, studio cameras, ENG style cameras, camera control units, video still store, etc., as well as associated ancillary equipment.
*Performs various station and/or remote operator duties for production of live and taped programming, news, station promotion, community service projects, commercials, and other productions.
*Constructs, installs, repairs, dismantles and stores scenery, sets, props and materials
*Installs, adjusts, and operates studio and/or remote lighting equipment.
*Performs as floor director
*Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:

*Previous related production work experience.

Eligibility Requirements:

*Must be willing to work at the station in San Diego location.
*Must be willing to take drug test and submit to a background investigation
*Must be 18 years or greater
*Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
*Must have ability to work any schedule within a 24x7 shift
*Ability to do moderate to heavy lifting.
*Must have a valid driver's license.

Desired:
*Associates degree in Telecommunications or related field or currently enrolled in a college working toward a degree preferred
*Knowledge of television production techniques and operating production equipment
*Team player who is flexible
*Motivated and has ability to work on their own unsupervised
*Displays a positive work ethic and can work under tight deadlines
*High degree of integrity and professionalism
*Up to date on and interested in current news events
*Strong organizational Skills
*Ability to work well and communicate with others
