Paper Mill Supervisor

Paper Mill Supervisor Requirement: Must have 3+ years of fine paper experience.

Supervise the continuous operations of two Paper Machines and stock preparation to ensure the proper production of their respective quality products, adhering to all safety and environmental guidelines.


Major Responsibilities:

Administrative:
1. Provide a workplace that is clean, neat orderly, and safe.
2. Assist in maintaining the morale at the proper level.
3. Communicate regularly through specified means the appropriate information to other supervisors, process engineers, department superintendents, and department managers.

Supervision:
1. Maximize the efficiency of each department at the required quality level.
2. Supervise the hour-to-hour or day-to-day function of each department to do all the necessary work that is required to meet this directive.
3. Maintain department operations under appropriate conditions to minimize air emissions and sewer losses.

Labor Relations:
1. Ensure that all Company policies and procedures are followed and met, such EEOC, Labor contract, et cetera.

Training:
1. Orient new hires regarding department procedures and policies.
2. Conduct regular meeting for each department to ensure appropriate and required safety training is accomplished.
3. Assist as necessary in providing job enhancement and development training in each department.
4. Encourage and provide opportunities for employees to train on shift as occasion and staffing.

Development:
1. Generate new ideas and assist in their installation/implementation. Such ideas are generated to solve a specific problem and move the business ahead.
