Plant Mechanic, St. Helens

Applications are being accepted for PLANT MECHANIC positions at Armstrong?s ceiling materials plant in St. Helens, Oregon.  The successful candidates will be vital members of the plant manufacturing team in the maintenance and improvement of new and existing equipment, technology and processes.

 PLANT MECHANIC

The successful candidate should be a multi-craft mechanic with job skills in fabrication, welding, machining, troubleshooting and hydraulics.  Position responsibilities include planning and performing work requests to maintain a highly productive and reliable process, initiating and performing preventive maintenance work orders, and using computerized maintenance management systems.  The potential to develop and broaden craft skills and manufacturing process knowledge will be an exciting part of the job.

 

All candidates must be willing to work a mix of rotating and day shifts and weekends to support the production process that operates on a continuous cycle.  Good interpersonal skills and basic computer skills are required.
