Production & Programming Analyst

NESN (New England Sports Network) is seeking a dynamic and professional Production & Programming Analyst.  This newly created position reports to the CFO and provides financial support and analysis to NESN?s Production and Programming departments.  In addtion, this position is responsible for the financial reporting, budgeting, analysis, capital planning and development of improved business support systems and processes.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

? Develops, prepares and analyzes financial reports for management review including production forecasts, event pre-estimates, actual results and variance analysis

? Provides day-to-day direct support to Production and Programming management in support of on-going initiatives

? Develops and presents annual budgets and interim forecasts

? Analyzes work flows, processes, staffing, purchases, etc. to recommend changes and identify improvement opportunities

? Identifies and understands business cost drivers using activity-based costing, process analysis, etc. techniques

? Prepares monthly journal entries, account reconciliations and financial analysis as required

? Completes special projects as assigned

 

Education:

 

? Bachelors of Science in Business Administration or equivalent

 

 

qualifications: 

? 3 to 6 years of related experience in direct support of operations with cost accounting and broadcast accounting a plus.

? Demonstrated ability to provide business partnering financial support aimed at achieving an organization?s business objectives

? Good written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal skills

? Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality

? Strong Excel, Word and Powerpoint abilities a must; strong spreadsheet abilities

? Excellent multi-tasking, organizational and time-management skills

? Track record of working in a fast-paced, loosely-structured work environment

? Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team 

? Ability to work off hours on occasion.
