Proposal Manager

Manage all staff and activities necessary to ensure the fulfillment of proposals within the established timeframes. Core Functions: Management of SunGard Higher Education Proposal Department Staff consisting of 8 Proposal Administrators and 1 Word Processor (Sales/Performance Reviews, Career Growth). Coordinate all workflow in Proposal department. Evaluate proposal requests to assist in Bid/No-Bid decision. Assist Proposal Administrator in analysis of RFPs, financial reports and information and documents submitted by prospective clients to determine response sales strategy. Attend proposal sales strategy meetings to determine response strategy. Assist senior members of the team in identifying, establishing, and communicating task assignments, schedules and deadlines to internal team members and production groups. Work closely with Marketing and other departments within SunGard Higher Education to develop and maintain Boilerplate and Frequently Used Language. Prepare and communicate/distribute status reports to management and team members. Approve Pricing proposed in documents. Ensure proposal quality by making certain documents are grammatically and technically correct and in conformance with company standards and quality objectives. Review proposals in a timely fashion in meet shipping deadlines. Provide functional guidance to less experienced members of the team. Act as final review when GM of Sales Administration cannot act in this capacity.
