The Opportunity:Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a ) seeks a professional, innovative and meticulous individual for our Quality Improvement Analyst/Statistician position. Quality Improvement Analyst/Statistician Responsibilities: Create and improve methods for analyzing and reporting data and trends to aid SEL employee-owners in reducing operational failures and achieving quality objectives. Build predictive models and perform advanced statistical analysis of product and process data to identify quality problems. Organize, analyze, and report customer satisfaction and loyalty data. Verify integrity of measurement data and recommend improvements. Create quality presentations for delivering analysis results to technical and non-technical audiences. Teach and coach SEL employee-owners on how to use statistical techniques and advanced problem solving techniques for identifying problem root cause and verifying corrective actions effectiveness. Manage projects as assigned. Follow and improve area processes.Qualifications: BS degree in Math, Actuarial Science or Statistics with 3-5 years experience or MS in Statistics Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Access Strong analytical, judgment, organizational, and project management skills Strong writing, speaking and presentation skills Ability to learn and communicate technical/scientific information Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities Ability to work cooperatively in team environment Background check results satisfactory to SEL Negative drug test result(s)Preferred Qualifications: MS degree in Math or Statistics Experience with ISO 9001:2000 design and manufacturing processes ASQ CertificationAn Award Winning CompanySchweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc.
