Quote Clerk

Jevic Transportation, Inc., a premier LTL carrier, is seeking a Pricing / Quote Clerk to work at our Delanco, NJ facility. The Quote Clerk is responsible for providing price quotations to customers and Account Managers based on contractual agreements, special requirements, and operational needs.  The shift is Monday through Friday (9:00am - 6:00pm or 9:30am - 6:30pm).



Responsibilities for the Quote Clerk include but are not limited to the following:



Quote customers partial truckload, truckload, footage, and class rates.



Calculate shipment charges and quotes to customers.



Works closely with various departments to secure business and maintain customer relations.





To join our team, the successful candidate must possess the following skills:



Strong mathematical aptitude: understanding of base rates, concepts of discounting, calculation of space.



Strong communication skills: negotiation of rates.



Prefer strong PC skills ? Word, Excel, and Mainframe application.



Strong geographic knowledge a plus.



Independent thinker with the ability to work in a team environment.



Previous transportation rating experience a plus.
