Basic Purpose:


Responsible for monitoring operations of physical real estate assets, both in joint venture format and those wholly-owned by EV funds.?

Primary Responsibilities:


?


Monitor operations of properties under management to assist in identifying and implementing strategies to add to or preserve the value of real estate investments within the context of fund investment objectives through:


?

Participating in an active asset management strategy within the context of using third-party property managers.
Reviewing quarterly financials reports produced by third-party managers.
Conducting property visits to monitor operating management quality and property capital needs.
Participating in development, in partnership with joint venture partners and property managers, of operating and capital budgets for physical real estate assets and analysis of such budgets for the benefit of Board members.
Monitoring external property managers and other service providers, including investigating and negotiating fee structures and, where necessary, coordinating amendment of associated legal documents.
Monitoring leasing activity, including analyzing the projected returns by lease and monitoring leasing staff?s adherence to, and execution of, leasing policies and plans.
Monitoring capital investment projects, including analysis of projected returns by project and monitoring results to evaluate managers? performance,
Advising on sell/hold and related capital allocation decisions.
Review and analysis of financial performance of private partnerships and affiliated public and private companies who have issued Participating Preference Units (PPUs) and Private Preferred Shares (PPSs) to the Portfolio
Assisting other members of the Real Estate Investments Group and Fund Administration Group as requested, particularly on matters relating to the valuation of physical real estate assets and internal and external reporting related to such assets.

Job Requirements:

1.?????? Bachelor?s degree, MBA or other graduate education helpful.


2.?????? Minimum of seven years of experience in real estate asset management.


3.?????? Strong analytic and communication skills.


4.?????? Basic knowledge of building construction systems and management operations.


5.?????? Organized and have very strong attention to detail.


6.?????? Experience in multifamily, office and industrial distribution property types helpful.
