Receiving Associate I

Assists in the functions of the receiving department including material handling and data entry.

 PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

1.  Unloads freight from incoming trucks.

2.  Performs receipts accurately through the ERP system.

3.  Works with other departments to reconcile processing issues.

4.  Operates walkie rider and picker equipment.

5.  Verifies counts of all incoming material and barcodes material, as necessary.

6.  Delivers packages to internal departments in a timely manner.

7.  Participates in document retention plan.

8.  Assures items are stored in their proper stock locations and that FIFO stock rotation occurs, as necessary.

9.  Maintains proper flow of material to the stage area in a timely manner.

10. Performs audits on parts, as necessary.

11. Accurately completes system transactions for material movement.

12. Maintains order, cleanliness, and a safe working environment.

13. Performs other duties as assigned.

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

? HS Diploma or G.E.D.

? 2 years experience working in a manufacturing environment and 1 year as a material handler

? Basic math aptitude

? Basic computer aptitude

? Adequate verbal and written communication skills

? Adequate organizational skills

? Ability to consistently lift up to 70 pounds

? Ability to read, understand and follow written work instructions

? Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
