SAP Business Analyst - SAP R/3 - FICO (43176)

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Business Analyst position is responsible for translating strategic and functional business requirements into SAP configuration, development and implementation of systems supporting Symbol?s global financial applications. Assists project managers, works as project resource and provide production support.


POSITION DUTIES:

? Work on cross-functional teams to implement SAP worldwide and other financial systems/applications worldwide.
? Interact with user community to evaluate and determine processes based on business requirements and best practices, as well as mapping against SAP software functionality.
? Recommends and documents solution requirements and gaps, including process maps, systems designs, requirements specifications, programming specifications and end user documentation.
? Assists and participates in making estimates for enhancements, project planning, testing, user acceptance testing, change control and training.
? Develops test plans, test scenarios and ensures the incorporation of any corrections to the software, or documentation, based upon the results of the tests.
? Works to an established project plan and monitors/reports status of current projects.
? Application support of SAP financial applications ? General Ledger, Special Purpose Ledger, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Profitability Analysis
? Prepare change management documentation



EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

? Bachelor?s degree in Finance (or related area) with strong computer science systems background, or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with strong business background. MBA a plus
? Must have extensive knowledge and functional understanding of SAP R/3 Financial Modules, Release 4.6 or greater with experience in the following: General Ledger, Special Purpose Ledger, Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Profitability Analysis
? 3+ years of configuration experience in SAP R/3 Finance modules Release 4.6 or greater
? 5+ years of IT/Finance related experience
? Excellent analytical skills
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills
? Strong PC Application skills: Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio
