SQL Server DBA (137341-699)

Description

Provides technical guidance and expertise in the design, creation, and maintenance of databases. Prepares detailed specifications and coordinates installation of new or revised systems. Administers and controls the activities related to data planning and development and the establishment of policies and procedures pertaining to its management, security, maintenance, and utilization.

Responsible for quality control and auditing of databases to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data. Advises management on database concepts and functional capabilities to ensure optimal performance and to develop database strategies to support company needs. May work directly with users to resolve data conflicts and inappropriate data usage. Directs the maintenance and use of the corporate data dictionary. Duties may also include troubleshooting, recovery, refining the database, and installing software.

 Required Experience

- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field
- 10 or more years of related experience
- Minimum 5 years experience as SQL Server DBA providing SQL Server systems administration. Experience should include SQL Server Reporting Services
- Minimum 1 years experience implementing solutions using Visual Studio Team Suite
- Minimum 1 year experience implementing solutions using Microsoft Solutions Framework (MSF)
- Strong written and verbal communication skill
