Safety Coordinator

Allvac, an Allegheny Technologies Company and recognized world leader in the production of high performance/high technology alloys for the aerospace, biomedical, chemical processing and nuclear industries, is seeking qualified candidates for the following positions:

 Safety Coordinator

This position will report to the Environmental Health and Safety Engineer.  Primary duties will include conducting plant safety audits, regulatory compliance, incident investigation and new equipment reviews, as well as development and revision of safety instructions.  The successful candidate will also develop, maintain, and conduct safety training and track all safety metrics.

 

Requirements:

HS diploma/GED and 2 years safety experience ?or-

Associates in Occupational Safety or related field, Bachelors degree preferred.

Experience with MS Office.

Professional communications skills.

Ability to manage large tasks, organize and solve problems. 

Must earn National Safety Council?s Advanced Safety Certificate upon hire.

Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
