Responsibilities:

Make personal calls on present and prospective policyholders to evaluate the property and casualty exposures.  Performs analysis of potential loss hazards and recommends corrective as well as preventative measures to control the hazards.

Establishes timetables in accordance with company procedures for recommended compliance and performs the follow-up activities necessary to assure compliance.  Communicates with Sales and Underwriting personnel on all conditions which affect loss control acceptability that could affect the underwriting status of accounts.

Develops specific safety plans to reduce policyholder operating costs through accident reduction and prevention.  Aids the policyholder in implementing and monitoring programs to assure that the programs accomplish the objectives.

This job requires a significant amount of travel.  Mostly northern Georgia, but some driving to NC, SC and some flying to FL.  Apx. 40 overnights annually.

 

Qualifications:

B.S. degree in Engineering, Science or Industrial Safety or an equivalent combination of training and experience (6 months to 3 years) is required. Effective human relations and communication skills are critical to be able to communicate with upper level management of prospects and customers.  The ability to work with minimal supervision is necessary.  Strong organizational skills are essential.  An acceptable Motor Vehicle Record and valid driver's license is necessary.  Must have the ability to meet travel requirements of the job.  The incumbent should also have functional computer skills and exceptional organization skills.  Should also be willing to achieve certification as a Certified Safety Professional.

 

Compensation and Benefits:

The starting salary can be up to $48,000 annually depending on experience and qualifications.  Plus Company Car
