Security Administrator

MIT Lincoln Laboratory has an immediate opening for a Security Administrator who will serve as a dedicated security focal point for the Air and Missile Defense Technology Division.



This position entails a wide range of responsibilities that include developing and executing division-wide security guidance for all unclassified and classified program requirements; creating and delivering security education and awareness briefings; providing classification management support; developing controlled area construction specifications and operation procedures; providing classified conference and meeting support; participating in Government and self reviews; and when necessary, assisting with administrative inquiries and other duties as assigned. Will conduct security audits, validate audit review records and perform security vulnerability assessments on facility systems. Will support the accreditation of new systems, provide support for the re- accreditation of existing systems and coordinate the proper decertification of classified systems and media. Will coordinate and participate in information system contaminations and associated clean-up measures.

Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Security Management or related field, with 4-5 years of in-depth knowledge and demonstrated competence in a DoD Industrial Security program or environment. Must be customer focused, have a working knowledge of the National Industrial Security Manual, and be a self-starter and be able to work with minimal supervision. Must possess excellent oral/written communications and presentations skills and be comfortable dealing with all levels of staff. Knowledge of PCs and associated business software (e.g. SIMS, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access) is required. Experience with UNIX, MAC or LINUX operating systems is desired. Position may require local and some overnight travel. Ability to respond to off-hour emergencies as necessary is required. Must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
