Senior Accounting Clerk (Accounts Payable)

 

Processes and pays all disbursements processed through the Accounts Payable system including general expenditures, expense and Club payments.

Duties and Responsibilities

 

1. Prepares batches of payment requests for data entry and payment.  Keys invoice batches for payment.  (30%)

2. Reviews payment requests to insure that proper support documentation and authorizations have been included.  Verifies math accuracy of support documentation.  (20%)

3. Dates and stamps received documents and distributes departmental mail.  (10%)

4. Matches vendor invoice and AAA receiver to purchase order.  (10%)

5. Reviews General Ledger coding to insure appropriate accounts coding.  (10%)

6. Obtains form W-9 from vendors when needed.  (5%)

7. Performs maintenance to address book records.  (5%)

8. Responds to vendor, management, and departmental inquiries with respect to payment status.  (5%)

9. Maintains physical files of recorded documents to assist with document imaging.  (3%)

10.  Performs related duties as required.  (2%)

Requirements

 

?  High School diploma and a minimum of six (6) months experience in accounts payable experience with an automated system

?  Knowledge of standard PC applications and knowledge of JD Edwards a plus

?  Excellent customer service skills required
