Senior Development Associate ? Optimization, Supply Chain Analysis & Logistics 0600429

In this role your activities will be focused in the areas of chemical process optimization, supply chain analysis and logistics. You will have the opportunity to make a significant global impact to Praxair?s business, and push the boundaries of optimization application development.

Our Senior Development Associate will be involved in technology development programs from concept initiation through commercialization, and be expected to work closely with the Engineering, Operations, and Business organizations globally. You will be asked to develop a credible business case for new technology programs, actively participate in the technical development, and lead multi-disciplinary project execution teams. You will also be expected to stay abreast of new technology developments in your field of expertise, and actively contribute ideas for new R&D programs. Travel of up to 25% is required.

Our ideal candidate will have a PhD degree in Operations Research/Industrial Engineering specializing in logistics and supply chain analysis, a PhD in Chemical Engineering (with a focus on applied optimization technology), or an MS in those fields with at least 5 years experience in logistics and supply chain research and development.

A background in related computing technologies such as process control, statistical process control, forecasting, and data mining are preferred, and demonstrated evidence of the practical application of innovative solutions in industrial settings is highly desirable.
