Senior Level Graphic Designer

 

Skyline Exhibits, a market leader in the exciting, $100 Billion trade show and event marketing industry, is seeking a Exhibit Designer to work in tandem with our fast paced Exhibit Design staff as a source for creative problem solving on exhibit graphic and marketing programs. 

 

Responsibilities:

?  Must work effectively with cross-functional counterparts in Design, while also being able to 'talk design' and make strong Design recommendations supported by strategic rationale.

?  Designs exhibits and produces dynamic images using computer-based and traditional design methods to meet client standards and deadlines.

?  Consults with clients and/or sales consultants on communications needs.

?  Coordinates with related agencies on image needs.

?  Coordinates with internal marketing group on image needs.

?  Works under moderate supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

?  Consults with agency staff and provides technical graphic advice.

?  Maintains electronic graphics design system components

?  Archives electronic production files.

?  Performs related work as assigned.

 

Competencies:

?  Depth of understanding of Branding and Strategy as it pertains to Exhibits

?  Ability to design and produce graphics and materials for presentation and production.

?  Superior knowledge of MAC platform as well as Strata 3D, Photoshop, and illustrator software

?  Organizational skills:  ability to plan, organize and monitor activities. 

?  Verbal communication skills:  Ability to get the intended message across.  Ability to listen effectively.

?  Problem-solving/troubleshooting:  Ability to identify problems, recognize symptoms, causes and alternative solutions.  Ability to make timely decisions. 

?  Ability to work independently:  Ability to manage his/her own work without constant supervision. 

 

Minimum Education/Certification:

4-year Degree in Graphic Design or Advertising Design or equivalent experience. 

 

Minimum Experience:

?  4+ yrs exceptional design experience supported by robust Portfolio.

?  4+ yrs of experience with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Strata 3D.

?  Basic level experience with 3D software for modeling, texturing and rendering.

?  Solid familiarity graphic production methods.
