Senior Marketing Specialist-Inspection

CITY: Houston STATE: Texas COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
* Ensure PII has a thorough understanding and capitalizes on trends in the worldwide market for in-line pipeline inspection, including but not limited to market size, pricing, technical trends, competitors.
* Develop and implement strategies that will enable PII to profitably increase it's share of the market for in-line inspection.
* Recommend the new products necessary to deliver the in-line inspection growth strategy and support those recommendations with detailed business plans.
* Ensure new product developments are delivered to market with detailed product launch plans and sales collateral documentation.
* Manage the portfolio of existing inspection tools and services to optimize their revenue generating capability.
* Recommend the new commercial applications for existing products.
* Participate in Strategy development and implementation at the business level.
* Execute transition of current portfolio into a simpler more profitable one.
* Develop promotional strategies to launch new products and to optimize returns from existing products.
* Perform competitive assessments (market sizing, profitability, competitors) to identify key assets or areas for investment.
* Support other strategic marketing activities (e.g. growth efforts, sales force effectiveness).


Qualifications/Requirements:
* Bachelor of Science degree in a technical discipline.
* Masters Degree in Business or Marketing.
* Must be a self starter, able to work on their own initiative and with remote cross functional and cross cultural teams.
* Must have excellent and demonstrated presentation skills.
* Should ideally have a thorough understanding of the market for, and techniques of, in-line inspection.
* Previous exposure to marketing tools and techniques, particularly those used in strategic planning.


Desired:
* Prior Sales experience.
* Green belt or black belt certified (GE employees only).
* Fluent in a second language.
* Experience publishing industry papers and presenting them at trade shows and conferences.
