Senior Network Engineer (5410)

Description

Seeking a Senior Network Engineer to function as one of the lead engineers on a network team that includes members across the country. This team provides engineering support to a DoD client's enterprise. The candidate will need to be skilled in Microsoft's Active Directory with Win2k and W2003 servers. The candidate designs, installs, and supports the underlying server infrastructure.

 Required Skills

Strong Technical knowledge of:
? Windows clients (2000 and XP).
? MS Exchange Administration (2003).
? Windows Server 2000/2003 to include Active Directory and Group Policy

? Demonstrated analysis, development, documentation and training on client-server network systems.
? Proven ability to use conventional project management techniques.
? Service as technical lead for moderately complex projects.
? Provide technical guidance, instruction and work direction to junior personnel and peers.
? Demonstrate capability of general development methods, design and technique.
? Demonstrate senior level technical and end-user documentation techniques.
? Write effective reports, proposals and documentation for management and end-users.
? Demonstrate organizational skills by planning and schedule scheduling assigned projects.
? Ability to lead and work within a team.
? Willingness to motivate others to learn.
? Ability to listen effectively.
? Strong commitment to service delivery and quality.
? Ability to communicate, negotiate and resolve conflicts.
? Continue to develop working knowledge of networking technologies to provide strategic input for solving internal and customer business problems.
? LAN/WAN infrastructure and System/Server availability and monitoring.
? Security principles and processes for effective systems administration.

 Required Experience

? 5+ years in LAN management with user support responsibilities.
? 5+ years server, network and PC hardware/software troubleshooting.
? 5+ years of LAN, e-mail and file/directory service administration.
