Division Overview:  Distinguished by our heritage in radar, identification friend or foe (IFF) and Air Traffic Control (ATC) technology, Telephonics Command Systems Division has long been recognized for its advanced electronic technology, aerospace and defense system products. We blend engineering, management and technology resources to produce an impressive array of highly reliable, multi-mode systems for maritime, littoral and over land missions.  Our product line includes: airborne maritime patrol and anti-submarine warfare surveillance imaging radar systems (ISAR); air traffic control and management systems, command and control systems, microwave landing systems and numerous other related products.  Command Systems is gaining an ever-increasing share of the niche markets it serves for its military, para-military, and commercial customer base.

 

Telephonics Command Systems Division technology is on board platforms that help to protect civilians and military personnel worldwide.  The U.S. Navy, the U.S. Coast Guard, the U.S. Air Force and numerous international defense agencies depend on Telephonics? advanced state-of-the-art products to successfully complete their mission.

 

Brief Summary:  Responsible for the applicable distribution and actions required, regarding subcontractor issues.  Initiates immediate discussion with the subcontractor upon receipt of any correspondence that requires clarification or is deemed to be non-responsive.  Ensures that complete understanding of the subcontractor?s issue/response, has been clarified and confirms in writing.  Develops Request for Proposals, assists in the development of Statements of Work; reviews and evaluates subcontractor proposals for compliance and responsiveness.  Leads and coordinates fact finding/evaluation negotiation team including distribution of results, developing a negotiation position, identifying cost/scope reduction opportunities and the development of the negotiation target range.  Administers the management, monitoring, and control of subcontractors for compliance with subcontractor requirements i.e., price, schedule, technical, etc.

 

Requirements:  Bachelors degree in Business Administration plus 7 - 15 years of directly related experience or the equivalent. National Contracts Management Association (CDMA) membership and/or certification a plus.  Familiarity with contract negotiations and/or buying experience with cost price analysis required.  Must be detail oriented with a strong reporting and organizational skills.  Excellent communications, presentation and analytical skills a must.  Must be PC literate including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
