TITLE: Service and Instrument Technician / Warehouse

SECTOR: Test Kit repair, certification services for backflow products, valves, actuation and controls for process/power generation market.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma mandatory. An engineering or technology degree is preferred. Comparable work history will be considered, modest knowledge of differential pressure and any course work toward a technical degree is a plus.

Field knowledge of high pressure and super heated steam systems a plus.

Must be trainable to work on test kits, valves, actuation, gauges and valve service. Mechanical/hands on repair abilities a must. Will train at factory.

Good freight and shipping practices. Will be required to be able to use UPS World Ship Software.

General Warehouse abilities such as stocking shelves, pulling orders, filling gauges, etc. will be required. Forklift knowledge helpful.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Technician will be responsible for in-house repair and certification of backflow test kits as well as valve repair and valve actuation services. It also includes field valve repair/actuation:

Repair and calibrate backflow test kits, valve repair and valve actuation.

Shipping and receiving duties.

Maintenance of warehouse work area.

Must have good time management capabilities, phone etiquette and customer service oriented.

This service technician position requires some travel.

JOB EXPERIENCE:

3 years experience is preferred with valves, instruments, controls, troubleshooting of valves and instrumentation.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

3 years knowledge of power plant mechanical systems and equipment a plus

Knowledge of boilers, controls, instrumentation and their associated maintenance a plus.

Working knowledge of MS-Windows XP and MS Office products .

Must be able to use data base software and internet communication software.

Must be familiar with all safety standards in regards to steam system repair.
