Responsibilities:
Responsible for research of the evolving IT services markets, research of the services trends, assisting in the development of service strategies and offering portfolio, acquisition of new vendors, line card rationalization, reporting and analysis
Creates new services vendor categories.
The Services Portfolio Managers mission is to enable the Vendor Business Manager (VBM), Senior Leadership in Services, and Vendor Management to identify and capture growth opportunities, while optimizing the line card
Will work closely with the Vendor Management team and other cross-functional groups  to implement ongoing process improvements
The Services Portfolio Manager acts as a mentor to the services team on service delivery trends and techniques, providing them with leadership and guidance

 

Requirements:

Education:  Bachelors degree required OR 2 years related external experience OR 1 year related Ingram Micro experience.

Experience: 
Four to five years related experience.  Previous Category management experience preferred 
Experience in strategic planning and implementation. Computer related technical background preferred; marketing and/or business development background; PC software/hardware experience required

Knowledge and skills:
Advanced knowledge of technology products and distribution channels desirable.
Knowledge of complex computer applications (Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel) as well as the demonstrated ability to learn additional work related computer applications. (i.e. Impulse, Oracle, Magellan).
Strong communications skills both written and oral. 
Strong  presentation skills.
Advanced ability to research the industry, understand and articulate complex product and technology knowledge
Strong analytical skills. 
Ability to understand and communicate complex financial data.
Ability to develop complex business plans and presentations
Advanced strategic planning skills
Strong ability to influence
