Shipping and Receiving/Warehouse Workers Needed!!!

 

Remedy Intelligent Staffing is hiring for warehouse and shipping positions down on the Port of Tacoma Washington.  Our clients and employees expect the best, and we are there to give it to them! 

 

Description:

 

1)  Warehouse  Employees must be able to comply with direction, both written and verbal, from their supervisors at the client site.  Lifting up to 50lbs, bending, kneeling, and standing for long periods (up to 8hrs) may be required.  Moving, picking, stamping, scanning and palletizing items is required, so good PC skills is a major plus.

 

2)  Picking and Packing  In conjunction with moving the product around the warehouse, you must also pick the approved order and pack it for shipment.  Some of these work environments might be either dusty, or around refrigerated material, and protective equipment will be provided. 

 

3)  Shipping  Each order must be prepared and made ready for shipment to the companies clients.  The orders must be completed accurately and on time to eliminate as much down-time as possible, and to ensure that shipments are on schedule. 

 

4)  Forklift  Some of the shipping required the use of various motor operated machinery, including a pallet-jack, palletizer, and forklift.  Any experience that you may have in these areas is a plus.

 

 

 

Qualifications:

1)  Education  High School diploma or equivalent

2)  Experience  Minimum of 6 months work experience, warehouse, shipping and receiving a plus

3)  Skills  Knowledge of proper body posture to ensure safety in the work environment, including proper lifting and carrying techniques.  Some skills on the PC may be required.

4)  Lifting  Be able to lift up to 50lbs safely.

5)  Physical requirements  Must be able to stand or walk on concrete surfaces for eight or more hours, or throughout the work day or shift. Push and pull objects by generating a force of 60 foot pounds.  Freely bend, twist, kneel, and stoop repetitively throughout the working day for the purposes of reaching objects stored in various places in the warehouse.

6)  Shift Requirements  Must be able to work various shifts, and hours up 10 hours.  Some overtime will be required and assigned as necessary, and the standard overtime pay will apply.  Some of these companies work 5 eight hour days per week, and some work 4 ten hour days per week, so these standard hours will apply.

 

Any and all that apply must be able to pass a drug screen and background check before being placed.
