Software Support Engineer- (Co-Op)
Enterprise Identity Manager (ITIM) application, Express Identity Manager (ITIM Express) application Single Sign-on security (TAME-SSO)You will work with customers, IBM consultants, and outside Business Partners at a high level of technical knowledge providing assistance with product deployment, configuration problems,Sales assistance on demos, and when required, deep dive training on these products. The primary customer base is in the Americas. We also provide support for AsiaPacific.
Skills required include: problem diagnostic experience, troubleshooting and debugging complex computer system and software issues ranging across ITIM, its component middleware; Web Application Server (WAS), Weblogic, IDS (ldap), IPlanet, Oracle, DB2. In addition a very strong working knowledge of one or more OS s (Windows and/or Unix) is required.
Major Field of Study: Computer Science
Duties include but not limited to:
Record and report design, reliability and maintenance problems and bugs
Maintain customer Problem Reports (PMR s) in the IBM Problem Tracking too
Duplicate the customer s problem in various Unix and Windows environment
Monitor and manage the customer resolution through entire incident life cycle
Install and maintain each product, noting problems and opportunities for improvement
Be involved in training customers, domestic and foreign business partners
Act as entry portal for customers, consultants and SE s into the development
Be responsible for maintaining departmental test platforms and other tech
Strong Unix (AIX, HPUX, Sun) and NT experience (able to debug), MVS experience
Data base experience, especially with Oracle or DB2 experience with SQL
WAS experience a plus
Experience with Java is desirable.
