Job Description:
To manage mid to large-scale IT sourcing projects, develop savings reports and present project results to key stakeholders. Sourcing projects are the main generator of savings for the business unit.

* Manage IT sourcing projects which includes:
- Conducting preliminary research on industry and vendors
- Document business requirements by interviewing key stakeholders
- Preparing bidding documentation such as RFPs, pricing matrices and evaluation criteria
- Scheduling and conducting vendor site visits
- Performing comparative qualitative and financial analysis of vendor proposals using grading tools such as scorecards and questionnaires
- Coordinating business and financial reference checks of vendors
- Assessing all phases of the RFP process with the stakeholders to drive towards a recommendation
- Develop negotiation and pricing strategies
- Negotiate and develop contract terms and conditions
- Liaison with legal and buyers

* Report process status, recommendations and savings according to CSP standard guidelines.

NATURE AND SCOPE:
This position requires an individual with strong project management and analytical skills to handle highly complex IT sourcing projects. The candidate must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight timeframes.

The types of projects to be assigned to this position involve contact center technology, management consulting (i.e. major software system purchases and installations) and IT offshore outsourcing, among others.

The candidate will coordinate large (10-20 people) cross-functional teams comprised of Managers to Officers. Executive Managers are often stakeholders and will require periodical updates that will be prepared by the individual in this position. Since communications are held at a high level in the organization, the candidate must possess strong presentation skills and feel comfortable delivering information to senior management in a professional manner.

The candidate must utilize the expertise and resources of team members to leverage the groups accumulated knowledge, while working independently to effectively manage his/her projects from start to finish, making decisions along the project lifecycle. The multi-faceted nature of the tasks to be performed requires a collaborative and team-oriented personality.

The main responsibilities of this position are: management of IT sourcing projects (90% of the time, non-routine in nature) and reporting of savings (10% of the time).

Travel is not frequent but the position requires occasional trips of short duration.

A Bachelors Degree in Finance, economics, accounting, supplier management or equivalent training is required. Advanced knowledge of Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint is required and familiarity with Cognos (or other OLAP tool) or PeopleSoft AP is preferred. The candidate must have at least 4+ years of professional experience, especially in IT. An MBA degree is not required but is preferable. The candidate must adhere to AXA Equitables policies and procedures, especially those related to Sourcing and Procurement.
