Urban Brands, Inc., owner of both the Ashley Stewart and Marianne brands, is a leading specialty retailer targeting the fashion-savvy urban female. We are seeking experienced SPEC TECH / TECHNICAL DESIGNER.
The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 3-6 years of technical design background (retail or catalog) and should have the basic knowledge of pattern making,draping techniques, sewing construction, knowledge of knit and woven fabrics, flat sketching via computer/manual, PC proficiency in Excel and Micrographx designer and a Degree in patternmaking a plus.
Responsabilities will include in technically preparing garments for fit sessions, specing out garments in preparation for fit purposes, adhere to and enforce the spec and construction guidelines, technically prepared fit report, tract fit samples from first fit through bulk production, etc. Experience and knowledge in implementing the new spec system necessary.
The successful candidate should have a proven track record of getting things done in a fast-paced environment and excellent inter-personal, communication and organizational skills are required.
