Sr. Analyst - Dovetail

Join a team of Business Analysts integrating inventory systems for our Nordstrom Direct Business that supports our Internet customers. Area of responsibility includes all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle, including but not limited to Requirements Gathering and Analysis, Functional Specification Review, Change Readiness, Testing, and Implementation. User groups supported by this effort include all channels of Nordstrom Direct such as Nordstrom Product Group, Merchandising and Finance. 

Under the direction of the Project Manager and partnering with Business Analysts and end users, use a combination of knowledge about Nordstrom, Best Practices, Industry Standards and your analytical skills to contribute to the Integration project.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work with Finance end users to analyze, document and prioritize business needs
Become proficient with detailed functionality of the Retek Stock Ledger and Oracle General Ledger 
Analyze, define and evaluate existing business tools, processes and work flow
Assess current, future, and industry business best practices
Partner with Nordstrom Information Technology team to design, build, test to integrate Inventory systems
Determine and document the impact of implementation, and changes needed to current business organization and processes
Prepare and execute user acceptance testing and data validation 
Support Change Readiness in the development and maintenance of user guides, job aids, and other materials for application users
Support project with documentation in various formats
Serve as a contact and subject matter expert for all stakeholder groups
Support handing off the application to Production systems support as well as Help Desk Merch
Escalation post-implementation

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
2+ years experience with Nordstrom Finance processes, systems and reporting (a plus).  Familiarity with Retail Accounting a plus
3+ years relevant industry experience
Solid analytical, listening and interpretation skills
Ability to communicate with both business and technology partners
Demonstrated experience on large complex projects
Nordstrom organizational knowledge (preferred)Nordstrom merchandising systems experience (e.g. RMS/RSS, FPS, RDW)
Possess strong ownership and desire to provide excellent customer service
Strong sense of urgency and follow-through
Solid competence in advanced PC skills, i.e. Excel, Visio, Word, Power Point, etc.
Experience in writing detailed business requirements or other process documentation
Ability to set high expectations and execute the tasks necessary to meet the goals
Able to work on a team or independently as the project phase dictates
Flexible, can work in continuously evolving and changing work environments
Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with end users of the application as well as stakeholders of the application functionality and support teams
