Sr. Oracle Applications Developer
Responsible for consulting with technical and end-user staff members in all areas of company in the design, development, and maintenance of applications based on the Oracle developer technology stack including the Oracle E-Business Suite Financials. May mentor and/or train less experienced staff members.
1. Designs, develops, and maintains global applications and integration tools that support the Oracle E-Business Suite Financials.
2. Uses Oracle?s Application Implementation Methodology (AIM) for planning, executing and controlling any system implementations.
3. Develops strict coding standards and ensures they are met by other development staff.
4. Ensures appropriate validation documentation is created and maintained in accordance with Technology Lifecycle and Computer System Validation SOPs as well as Sarbanes Oxley related SOPs.
5. Consults with internal personnel to understand system needs for business processes.
6. Integrates back-end databases by using best practices for Oracle application development.
7. May mentor and/or train less experienced staff members.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs other work-related duties as assigned. Minimal travel may be required (up to 25%).
Experience and Skills:
EDUCATION/SKILL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Requires a BA/BS in computer science or similar discipline, or equivalent education and experience, plus a minimum of six years of Oracle application development experience. Experience developing in Oracle Forms, Reports, and Discoverer required. Sound understanding of Oracle technology stack including application tiers and databases required. Experience supporting full Oracle E-Business Suite preferred. Oracle OCP certifications for application development strongly preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email, and voicemail is required. Requires above average attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational, interpersonal, and team-oriented skills. The ability to perform several tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines is necessary.
