Sr. Voice Support Engineer
Serve as a voice technical resource and SME on all Voice related problems on the Vonage Network.
?Support all Cisco/Sonus Voice GWs, all TDM (PRI,DS3,OC3) and SS7 infrastructure including Cisco PGW.
?Provide feedback and recommendations to engineering and development on network improvements.
?Trace and debug problematic call flows.
?Schedule, coordinate and perform routine maintenance on all Voice equipment.
?Train and Mentor Junior staff as well as 24X7 network operations staff
?Write procedures for 24X7 network operations staff
? 3+ years experience supporting a TDM/SS7 environment.
? Excellence in troubleshooting networking gear, TDM and SS7 infrastructure
? Experience with troubleshooting SIP
? Experience working with 3rd party carriers/engineers to resolve complex voice/application problems.
? Ability to analyze, define and quickly identify technical problems with systems.
? Work non-standard hours as required. (Weekend/holidays)
? Should be a self-starter who can find and resolve issues pertaining to Vonage?s entire network.
? Must be comfortable working in a high stress, fast paced environment.
? Experience with standard network/application change management and configuration policies.
? Creative problem solving abilities. .
