IBM s Research Division is the world's premiere industrial research organization. We have an immediate need for a technically oriented exempt professional in the office of the VP of Computer Science to develop and implement strategic communications programs in support of IBM's Computer Science Professional Interest Community (PIC) and other CS directions. You will develop high-quality, multimedia communications such as intra- and internet story packages, web casts, executive messages, presentations and related special projects as needed. Your role spans technical areas, geographies and organizations, with the aim of informing, enabling and inspiring the academic and industrial research communities. You will have significant exposure to the Computer Science, Software, Services, and Systems VPs and other senior managers across functions within IBM Research.

Major Field of Study: Computer Science and/or Communications
Website development and management skills, Verbal and written communication skills,
Deadline-oriented multi-tasking skills, Self-organization skills, Strategic communications planning & implementation, Consensus-building skills, Leadership of small teams' skills,

Desired Skills
Three years of experience working in a technically oriented communications role is required. Also experience with the following: Three years working with HTML and style sheets; Three years working with PowerPoint and Excel; Two years working with Lotus Notes databases, and some proficiency with Lotus Notes programming. A familiarity with the main concepts of computer science is required.
