Job Purpose
Through strategic planning and tactical execution, create and develop the highest value global supply chains for GE Energy's Nuclear business.

Essential Functions

Develop and implement a strategic sourcing plan to drive both short-term and long-term success in order fulfillment, profitability and customer satisfaction

Engage sales, marketing and product management to understand and anticipate market demands.

Work with the Suppliers, Engineering and Project Management to find and implement "Design for Manufacturability" modifications and cost-out opportunities.

Leverage purchases across all of the GE Infrastructure businesses and Global Commodity Leaders to drive savings.

Continue development of alliances with existing strategic Suppliers / Business Associates.

Engage in the financial planning process to include a 3-year financial plan for productivity and deflation.

Lead quality efforts for the supply chain, including driving improvements in On-time Delivery, DPMO reduction and Cost of Quality Vendor Recovery.

Act as a change agent to drive a value added supply chain mindset throughout the organizational culture.



Qualifications/Requirements:
Basic Qualifications

BS/BA degree in engineering, technical or business curriculum.

At least 5 years experience in engineering, program/project management, supply chain management or manufacturing.

Strong PC skills.

Intimate knowledge of ASME/Nuclear raw material requirements.

Green Belt certification (GE employees only).

Nuclear or Field Engineering experience.

Metals sourcing experience.

Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM).

MBA or advanced engineering degree.

GE program graduate.

Government contracting business experience.

ASME code/welding/machining shop experience.
