Tactical Business Development - AF Logistic Centers

MTC Technologies is pleased to announce an opening for Sr. Tactical Business Development Manager - Air Force Logistic Centers (ALCs/AFMC) supporting our operations in Warner Robins, GA, Ogden, UT, and Oklahoma City, OK. General Summary: Identifies, assesses, evaluates, negotiates, and develops business opportunities with targeted customers with various AF units at Hill, Robins, and Tinker AFB and works to develop and maintain familiarity with corporate capabilities, the customer, and company processes.
Essential Functions
1. Identifies new business opportunities that
a. Align with the capabilities and competencies of the business unit
b. Support the business unit's strategic direction
c. Position the business unit to meet assigned goals
2. For those opportunities, the business developer:
a. Recommends a win strategy
b. Develops teaming strategies
c. Identifies customer hot buttons and key requirements
d. Creates and executes a customer call plan
e. Learns and understands the customer's decision making process
f. Establishes and executes a marketing plan such that the customer gains an understanding of MTC's solution fit relative to the customer's requirements
g. Develops an estimate of the price to win
h. Understands and works within the company's established business development process
i. Coordinates with appropriate MTC Account Manager to maintain alignment with the business growth strategy for given client agency
3. Achieves assigned pipeline, submittals and bookings targets.
4. Remains familiar with the concepts, practices, and procedures of assigned Group business unit customers.
5. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
6. Improves awareness of MTC brand and capabilities within assigned customer set and geographic area.
7. Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Qualification Guidelines:
1. Requires a bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of related experience, with proven project management skills, strategic planning abilities, direct market research experience, and a track record of performing in successful projects in complex organizations.
2. High level of flexibility in terms of travel.
3. Demonstration of influence and ability to motivate in a complex, project matrix environment.
4. Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
5. Proactive identification and targeting of market opportunities.
6. A high level of interpersonal communication skills is required. Incumbent must be able to negotiate and close deals, set up formal business contracts, and research and deliver executive-level strategic BD presentations.
7. Strong leadership skills are required. The incumbent must lead cross-functional teams in developing strategies and preparing comprehensive, strategically-driven responses to RFPs and RFIs within tight timelines. The incumbent must also show ability to work in a team-based atmosphere to successfully lead remote and local teams in high-pressure RFP responses and prospective client presentations.
8. Incumbent must be able to uncover and create new business opportunities through independent prospecting including cold-calling, direct mail campaigns etc.
9. Motivated by quantitative objectives and enjoys working in a fast paced changing environment.
