Reviews and edits technical reports, test procedures, Engineering drawings and other data required for inclusion in technical manuals, IPB's, MPL's, and other related documents. Using the aforementioned data, write/modify text and prepare sketches, or identify CAD drawings that will be used to augment technical manuals in accordance with the applicable specification, outline bookplan or other governing document as specified by the Contract. Monitor and record the results of the validation/verification process in accordance with the validation/verification plan. Maintain a draft book that is readily available for internal or customer review. Consult with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and peer writers to ensure that data generated for technical manuals and related data is technically correct and properly formatted according to the style guidelines, or create and apply style guidelines if none are specified.

BA degree in Journalism and 3 - 5 years experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of two years experience in technical publications. Diligent about spelling and grammar, demands consistency of self and others, and able to write clearly and effectively.Expertise with Microsoft WORD and Adobe FrameMaker required. Ability to use graphics programs such as Visio or Adobe Illustrator, required.
