VP, MLCC Product Research and Development (Band 3)

Job Responsibilities:


As a Manager Product Research and Development, you will be responsible for managing product development including the identification of market trends, new product offerings and continuous product enhancements.  You will also participate in the development, implementation and coordination of the product strategy, including the product's pricing structure. Additionally, you will participate in the integration of systems and operations that interface with product strategy and unit cost and develop and present sales and marketing support programs.

 

?  On an ongoing basis review and assess existing MLCC products in relation to the external competitor products seeking opportunities to improve and innovate the product line.

?  Create and design of new products or product features to address client needs and provide differentiation. Find opportunities and strategies for major new products that complement/expand current offering, driving acquisition, sales and penetration.

?  Improve product and segment profitability via client, Financial Advisor focus groups and other feedback techniques which help gather ideas for new products and input on existing products or ideas.

?  Lead and participating in cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Credit, Operations, Technology, Finance and Capital Markets to manage initiatives through the product management process.

?  Collaborate in the development of marketing programs for mortgage products, evaluate the effectiveness of new introductions or substantive changes, determine/monitor product life cycle, and recommend pricing and marketing strategies.

?  Develop training curriculum for new products and enhancements and lead or participate in training programs and other communications to field.

 Qualifications:


?  BA or BS, MBA preferred

?  5-10 years work experience with at least 3-5 years product management experience with financial or consumer products

?  Consultative approach or experience with a particular emphasis on product strategy/portfolio management a plus

?  Six Sigma certification or background a plus

?  Deep and broad understanding of competitor products, features, pricing and consumer demands.

?  Well-developed product management skills; specific skills around new product idea creation, development and delivery of business plans, and the demonstrated ability to lead or work within multi-functional project teams.

?  Communications and promotion strategy development

?  Strong collaborative and team work focus with a proven track record of delivering results

?  Demonstrated competencies in analytical and quantitative problem solving

?  Demonstrated capability in leveraging consumer insight in conjunction with analytical rigor, creativity, and intellectual problem solving

?  High level of creativity, enthusiasm, energy and independence

?  Mortgage or credit experience a plus
