Web Server Engineer
WEB Server Engineer/Systems Administrator (Apache, IIS, WebSphere) The Web Server Engineer/Systems Administrator (Apache, IIS, WebSphere) position will be responsible for supporting web services on servers and devices used by LabCorp to meet business needs, as well as being involved in the testing and migration of changes to production. Duties ? 24 X 7 support of Client Products production environment ? support of development and staging environments for web applications ? deploying application changes to production ? monitoring web servers for intrusion detection ? applying security related patches to web related services ? production of reports related to web activity ? evaluation and installation of 3rd party products on servers ? administration of web and application services ? troubleshooting technical issues in a variety of environments
Experience and Skills:
Mandatory Skills Minimum Qualifications Experience with: Apache and / or lIS administration Relational databases Web page development Linux and / or Windows server administration Excellent oral and written communication skills
Desired Skills Preferred ? knowledge of PeopleSoft ? knowledge of or experience with web application development languages (JSP, Java, Cold Fusion, ASP) ? experience with TCP/IP, networking, scripting languages (PERL, bash), Sybase, DB2, MySql ? experience in developing policies and standards ? experience administering WebSphere Application Server
