General Manager

Job Description: We are seeking a strong leader to open various plant locations as a General Manager in the Gulf Coast states. Qualified candidates are willing to relocate for exceptional career opportunity.

As a General Manager for G&K Services, you are accountable to the Regional Vice President for overseeing the day-to-day functioning of the local business operations; achieving assigned volume, profit, margin and channel mix goals; translating the corporate vision and strategy into a local business strategy tailored to meet local market conditions; overseeing continuous improvement efforts required to expand core business areas and grow profitability; identifying potential B2B development opportunities; overseeing plant operating processes and procedures to ensure that they provide efficient, effective and high quality service to the customer base; and managing local plant operations.

In addition, the General Manager leads the effort in recruiting, developing and exporting talented individuals capable of exceeding both business goals and our customers' expectations while meeting succession plan objectives; supports business expansion efforts by partnering with the national accounts team and the local professional sales team; and boosts G&K's reputation by developing positive community relationships.

General Manager Qualifications Include:
- Extensive and successful general management experience with responsibility for multiple functional areas - sales, customer service, production, logistics, HR.
-Strong sales mentality along with financial savvy.
- Successful experience developing direct reports, delegating, and gaining results through others.
- Extensive profit and loss responsibility with focus on top line revenue growth.
- Ability to lead in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment and manage multiple tasks and department heads.
- Demonstrate and develop in others strong communications and leadership skills.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field, no exceptions.
- Willingness to travel during General Manager 12-week training.
- Qualified candidates must be willing to relocate when necessary.
