R&D Manager

Shiseido America Inc., a leading international cosmetics company, has an immediate opportunity available for a Research & Development Manager in our East Windsor facility.

 

In this position you will be responsible for:

 Managing R&D formulation and process developments for customers Administering the completion of trial run and proposing manufacturing procedures Providing manufacturing procedures and flow charts Managing in-process and final shade matching of bulk batches Determining and finding sources of new raw material vendors based on their ability to meet quality and environmental requirements Identifying employee training needs and ensuring employees are trained for their jobs Implementing Environmental Management Programs applicable to R&D and monitoring its progress Responding to CAR/PAR forms and implementing corrective actions Investigating products/procedures, which cause problems in manufacturing, if and when the need arises Managing new projects assigned by Executive Director of R&D and/or Vice President of Product Development/Sales Other duties as assigned by senior management

 

To qualify for this position, you must have the following:

 BS is Chemistry or equivalent work experience.  5-10 years formulation and process design experience desirable Experience in instructing, directing and supervising the activities of laboratory personnel Experience in basic manufacturing process of makeup and skin care Experience in performing cost calculation in cosmetic manufacturing environment
